Biography

 

Jonathan Newby is one of the most highly qualified professional Pianists & Teachers in London having been awarded an LRSM in Piano Performance at the Royal College of Music. Prior to this, Jonathan achieved a Degree with Honours in Music Performance and an LTCL in Piano Teaching from Trinity College of Music (Trinity Laban) which is one of the top music conservatoires in the country and is associated with the Trinity Guildhall examining board.

Jonathan began piano lessons at the age of seven, when he was only ten years of age he played the part as 'Young Elton John' on Television. In 2007 he was selected to perform in the ABRSM High Achievers Concert for scoring one of the highest exam marks for Grade 8 Piano. Since 2003 Jonathan has performed at various prestigious venues including the Royal College of Music, Trinity College and Browns hotel in London.

Jonathan has a real passion for performing and teaching and has achieved 100% pass success rate with all his pupils he has entered for Music examinations. 

As well as teaching piano, keyboard and music theory, Jonathan also does accompanying, weddings and funerals available on request.
